The Role and Benefits of Technology in Education: Using Technology in the Classroom

Technology is developing so rapidly, and is now interwoven in almost every part of our lives. This has influenced the way we communicate, socialize, connect, play, and most importantly: learning. Technology can be used to facilitate, accelerate, and streamline the learning process in the classroom.
Some examples of using technology in the classroom, for example:
1. The teacher uses a computer and projector screen to explain the subject matter
(through power points, for example)
2. The teacher makes a video tutorial to be studied by students independently, complete
with competency test questions

3. Making e-learning (learning in networks) through the school's web
4. The teacher makes a video of the learning process in class to then be uploaded on the
school's web or stored in the school library for students to watch
5. The teacher makes an interactive video containing practice questions from the
material that has been taught for student play
Clearly, technology can be used as a tutor, as teaching, or as a learning tool.
Note: "Technology will not replace teachers, but teachers who use technology will replace
teachers who do not!"
The Benefits of Using Technology in the Classroom
1. Future oriented. The future is all about technology and multi-screening, and education can't be left behind.
2. Learning becomes more interesting. It involves and challenges students with new and interactive methods.
3. Improve skills. Technology can enhance a variety of skills, including digital learning, collaboration, and problem solving.
